The College is looking for an exceptional psychology teacher with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching. Teaching both GCSE and A level, you will enable all pupils to reach their potential, and challenge our most able students. The successful candidate should be experienced and personable, able to work with small classes of varied students to achieve the very best outcomes.

St Albans Independent College is a small but growing independent college, which has a unique and successful approach to education. The successful candidate will be required

  • To have an honours degree in Psychology and QTS
  • Teach both GCSE and A level Psychology (AQA board experience preferred)
  • Provide detailed feedback on work in relation to exam requirements
  • Organised and focused on success
  • Track record of success among Psychology students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Empathy for a wide variety of students with differing needs


Details about the Post

Hours: 12 to 18 hours per week (flexibility on days and times).

Weeks: 34 weeks per academic year

Salary: £14,500 -£21,000 pa
