TLC Private School are seeking qualified primary teachers to join our established successful primary team . The successful applicant must have a high standard of both spoken and written English as well as recent, relevant experience of teaching the English National Curriculum. 

Role:                         

To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Principal. To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has students who achieve well.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students
  • Establish a safe and stimulating learning environment for students, rooted in mutual respect.
  • Set goals that stretch and challenge students of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
  • Demonstrate consistently, the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of students.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by Students
  • Be accountable for students’ outcomes, attainment and progress
  • Encourage students to take a responsible and a conscientious attitude to their own work and study
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Have a secure knowledge of the curriculum areas, foster and maintain students’ interest in the subject and address misunderstandings.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum within the relevant subject area
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements
  • Make use of formative and summative assessment to secure students’ progress.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour, clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms, manage behaviour effectively and take responsibility for promoting good and courteous behaviour both in classrooms and around the school, in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Take part in all continuous professional development provided by the school, both internally and externally.
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider community and ethos of the school
  • Deploy support staff effectively and ensure they are valued and involved and suitable responsibility is given.
  • Communicate effectively with parents with regard to students’ achievements and well-being through the use of reports, parent meetings, oral feedback etc.


The successful candidate will:

  • have the right to work in the EU
  • have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Pedagogical is a must. Additional degrees would be considered an advantage.
  • Professional Educator Diploma or other teacher qualification if available (e.g. QTS, PGCE).
  • have relevant experience of teaching the English National Curriculum. 
  • be familiar with technology use in teaching and learning. 
  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • have experience in an international school setting.
  • be expected to provide evidence of a clear criminal record.
