This is an exciting opportunity to lead the largest school estate development programme in Wales.

Cardiff is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK. Education is at the heart of the city’s ‘Capital Ambition’. We have secured an additional £284 million to invest in new secondary and special school provision, together with expanded provision for young people with Additional Learning Needs in mainstream settings, and new schools resulting from extensive new housing growth.

We are seeking an individual with strong understanding of education planning and the ability to coordinate a complex build programme to successful delivery. You will work closely with elected politicians, with senior officers across Cardiff Council and in Welsh Government, and with school leaders, governors, partners and communities throughout the city.

The post is offered on a three year fixed-term contract.

Dyma gyfle cyffrous i arwain y rhaglen ddatblygu ystadau ysgolion fwyaf yng Nghymru.

Mae Caerdydd yn un o ddinasoedd y DU sy’n tyfu gyflymaf. Mae Addysg wrth galon ‘Uchelgais Prifddinas’ y ddinas. Rydym wedi sicrhau £284 miliwn yn ychwanegol i’w fuddsoddi mewn darpariaeth ysgolion uwchradd ac ysgolion arbennig newydd, ynghyd ag ehangu’r ddarpariaeth i bobl ifanc sydd ag Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol mewn lleoliadau prif ffrwd, ac ysgolion newydd o ganlyniad i dwf helaeth mewn tai newydd.
Rydym yn chwilio am unigolyn gyda dealltwriaeth gref o gynllunio addysg a’r gallu i gydlynu rhaglen adeiladu gymhleth i’w chyflawni’n llwyddiannus. Byddwch yn gweithio’n agos gyda gwleidyddion etholedig, gydag uwch swyddogion ym mhob rhan o Gyngor Caerdydd ac yn Llywodraeth Cymru, a chydag arweinwyr ysgol, llywodraethwyr, partneriaid a chymunedau ledled y ddinas.
Ymunwch â ni yn y rôl hon er mwyn gwneud gwahaniaeth parhaus i addysg ym mhrif ddinas Cymru am genedlaethau i ddod.
