The Role

We are seeking a professional, organised and personable Receptionist to join our busy front office team. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school and delivering a high-quality, welcoming service.

This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability and a calm, proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a welcoming and professional front-of-house service

Manage incoming calls, emails and enquiries efficiently

Maintain accurate records using systems including Google Workspace and Arbor

Support administrative functions across the school

Uphold safeguarding procedures at all times, particularly in relation to visitors

Work collaboratively with staff to support the smooth running of the school office

What We Are Looking For

At least 2 years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively

Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and school systems such as Arbor (or willingness to learn)

A calm, professional manner and the ability to work under pressure

A high level of discretion when handling confidential information
