The remuneration package for the successful candidate is offered without deductions. The Cayman Islands Government provides an additional 12% pension contribution and 100% health insurance coverage for the employee and their dependents. To assist with relocation, within the first week of arrival, the successful candidate will receive a settlement allowance equivalent to 1 month’s salary, moving expenses for personal belongings and hotel accommodation for 7 nights.
We are looking for School Inclusion Specialist Teachers for both our Secondary School and our High School.
Salary: CI$51,948- $66,480 per annum
The post holder will be required to plan and deliver lessons for students with identified learning, social, emotional and behavioural issues who have been placed in our KS3/KS4 Inclusion Unit. The post holder will also be required to facilitate and deliver appropriate interventions for students.
The post holder will facilitate and deliver appropriate interventions in whole-class settings, small-groups and individually, for students with identified learning, social, emotional and behavioural issues.
*The post will support the implementation of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Code of Practice and modifying and adapting resources to reflect the Cayman culture where appropriate.
*Qualifications and experience include:
- A qualified teacher with a minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience, at least two of which are in a non-mainstream behaviour/inclusion setting.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or have demonstrable evidence of a wide range of professional training and experience working with Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties (EBD) and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN). A Master’s degree in Special Education or related field would be preferable but not required.
- Hold a valid driving license.
