We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Inclusion Officer to join the Inclusion and Safeguarding Team in our friendly and hard-working school. You will work alongside our Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion, and other professionals, including our School Social Worker, Attendance and Welfare Adviser and Play Therapist.

You will be:

· outgoing, approachable and vibrant, whilst being sensitive to the needs of the community we serve

· committed to working with children and their families in a supportive and professional way within an educational setting

· pro-active, solution-focussed and resilient to the day-to-day challenges the post will bring

· well-organised and creative, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will:

· have a secure knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the DfE’s statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, what schools must do in order to keep children safe, and how to implement these expectations

· understand how to raise standards and attainment for all our pupils through a focus on school-readiness, early help and addressing factors which may affect an individual’s learning

· understand how to work in partnership with parents to support their child’s learning, both as a point of contact for information and sign-posting, and through providing training and advice

We can offer you the opportunity to work with fantastic children and an effective and dedicated team, with the support of enthusiastic governors and parents. We provide excellent opportunities for furthering your professional development and a chance to make a real difference to our school.

Closing date: Monday 25th June, 12pm

Interviews: Tuesday 3rd July

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to visit the school as part of the recruitment process
