Special Educational Needs Teacher (SEN Teacher)

International Community School is looking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Inclusion Teacher to support our SEN pupils in the Primary and Secondary school.

We are looking for an experienced Teacher to join our Inclusion team.

The successful applicant must have:

- The ability to share outstanding practice to support learners with additional needs.

- The ability to develop inclusive classroom practice across the school.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with pupils and parents.

- Excellent organisational skills and time management. 

The School:

We are an English Curriculum School centrally located in the heart of Abu Dhabi Island. Branch 1 is entering into its 9th year. We began as a Primary school and are slowly expanding up to Year 13, adding Secondary year groups one year at a time. Year 11 will be added for August 2021 and will be the first cohort to sit exams for the IGCSE syllabus.

We strive to provide a student-centric, values-driven education to our students in a nurturing environment where pupils can develop the necessary skills to thrive in the modern global community. We are over halfway through the building of our new purpose-built school which should be ready for the Academic year of August 2021/22. The new build will boast state of the art facilities, including a swimming pool, auditorium/theatre, modern classrooms, fully fitted science labs and expansive libraries.

About the Positions:

Teachers should hold a Bachelor of Education Degree ( or a degree and PGCE in the relevant age range) and have ideally at least 2 years of classroom teaching experience. Experience in an English National Curriculum School would be desirable but not essential as would an SEN qualification. 

You will work as part of a wider team.
