Sport plays a big part in the lives of the boys and increasingly this is linked to their health and well-being plus their physical development. All boys participate weekly, and most will represent the school in inter school fixtures on a regular basis. The Head of Strength and Conditioning will also be pivotal in assisting in the development of our performance athletes; we have many boys involved in external representative pathways in rugby, hockey, cricket plus some of the more individual sports.
This hybrid role also includes time coaching rugby with an emphasis on forward play. The post holder will be proficient in developing the more technical aspects of scrum and line out as well as other more generic principles of play. As the flagship sport in the Michaelmas Term, rugby plays a big part in the lives of many boys at the school - Rugby | Sherborne School
