Job overview
Due to the increasing popularity of Business and Economics at Langley School, we are looking for a new part time Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. Ideally you would be able to teach both subject areas, however we would consider applications for either subject.
We are looking for an ambitious professional, with a proven track record of raising attainment across GCSE and A Level groups, to join our successful and well-resourced department. We offer Business at both GCSE and A Level (Edexcel specification) and offer A Level Economics (AQA specification).
As a Teacher of Business and Economics at Langley School, you will be a reflective practitioner and team player, confident in your subject knowledge and keen to work collaboratively within the department, developing its curriculum to help pupils meet the challenge of examinations. We value those who are conscientious and passionate, with the desire to impart their love of Business and Economics to their classes and fellow teachers.
The ability to plan and deliver innovative lessons that are suitably differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils and integrate the use of e-learning, is paramount. Our ideal candidate would be willing to take an active role in ensuring the Business and Economics Department maintains its high profile by promoting Entrepreneurship and Economics within the school and wider community and organising and running subject related extra-curricular activities such as trips, speakers and competitions as well as wider school events.
All teachers at the school are form tutors and play an important role in the pastoral life of a thriving independent school.
