Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Geography to join a School based in Lincolnshire.

The School are seeking an inspirational Teacher of Geography to shape the minds of their students. Geography is one of the most exciting, adventurous and valuable subjects to study today. So many of the world’s current problems boil down to geography, and they need the geographers of the future to help them understand them.

Geography isn't just about maps and mountains; it's about understanding the world around them and the interconnectedness of people, places, and environments. As a Teacher of Geography at the School, you will have the opportunity to inspire young minds, ignite curiosity, and foster a deeper appreciation for the world that they live in. From exploring the wonders of natural landscapes to delving into the complexities of human geography, your role will be instrumental in shaping the next generation. Whether it's leading engaging classroom discussions, organising trips to local landmarks, or integrating innovative teaching methods, you'll play a vital role in creating meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom walls.

This role could suit an ambitious, early career teacher (ECT) or an established practitioner seeking a new and exciting challenge. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a truly collaborative environment, where they will be encouraged to share ideas and work closely with colleagues to develop engaging and inspiring lessons.

Position: Teacher of Geography 🌍

  • Inspire and engage students through innovative and interactive Geography lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of current educational issues relating to Geography as a whole.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Proficient in the use of IT with a commitment to maximise the benefits of new technologies.

Why join?

  • Join a school with a rich history of educating students since 1532.
  • Join a school that is based in the historical market town of Stamford - voted by The Sunday Times as 'The Best Place to Live in Britain'.
  • Collaborative and supportive faculty and staff.
  • State-of-the-art facilities and resources for effective teaching.
  • A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
