We are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate LAMDA teacher who can inspire pupils.

The post will involve teaching LAMDA lessons to KS3, 4 & 5 pupils and preparing them for graded examinations.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in teaching Musical Theatre.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach LAMDA lessons to students of various ages in accordance with the LAMDA specifications.
  • Work with the other LAMDA teacher to organise and manage exams at the centre, including the necessary paperwork surrounding this.
  • Be responsible for student communication and wider communications with the Head of Drama, other LAMDA staff and other school staff.
  • Steward students on exam days.
  • Manage efficiently and take responsibility for resources. 
  • Source and resource interesting and appropriate learning materials such as play texts, excerpts and prose.
  • Thoroughly prepare students for LAMDA examinations and showcases.  
  • Monitor pupils' progress.
  • Promote sound standards of punctuality and discipline.
  • Work with staff in the Drama department and other school staff to organise the drama showcase evening, showcasing the students’ practical examination work.
  • Attend the daytime rehearsal for the drama showcase and the evening event, supervising students and contributing to ensure the event is a success.
