We seek to appoint a highly motivated, ambitious and dynamic Teacher of Music into a successful, growing Music department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher, who has a passion for teaching Music, can teach creatively and can inspire pupils. You will have experience of teaching at KS3 and ideally have teaching experience of GCSE and A Level Music. The postholder will ideally have good piano skills, confidence leading extra curricular ensembles, experience using Music Technology (in particular Cubase) and experience of liturgical Music in a Catholic/Christian setting.
Music is a highly respected subject at St Bonaventure’s. The music room is always buzzing with sound during break and lunch times with pupils of all ages using our facilities to practise classwork, rehearse and make music. Our school hall has an excellent performance stage which we use each half term to showcase the talent of our pupils in addition to our annual Carol Service and Spring concert. Numerous extra-curricular groups take place throughout the week and over 60 pupils currently take part in instrumental lessons. Our students study the Eduqas GCSE, NCFE Level 1/2 in Music Technology and A Level courses.
We expect that you will have evidence of excellent classroom practice and high expectations of pupil attainment and, if overseas trained, we would need evidence that your professional qualifications are recognised in the UK by UK ENIC &/or the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).
