We are looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy to join our Humanities faculty. We would like candidates with the ability to teach Key Stage Three and Four RS/Philosophy and the ability to teach A Level Philosophy would be an advantage. This role is a fantastic opportunity for either a newly qualified or more experienced colleague to work as part of the wider Humanities faculty and under the leadership of the Head of Humanities and for suitable candidates there may be future opportunities for leadership and management in this area.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
● QTS;
● a broad base of subject knowledge;
● the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5;
● a willingness to lead extra-curricular activities within the department
● a clear understanding of successful classroom practice
● the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;
● the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;
● effective interpersonal skills;
● demonstrable suitability to work with children and young people
The Hollyfield School has an extensive CPD programme which offers regular training sessions to enhance teachers’ classroom practice, which are led by all staff from within the school and the wider Multi Academy Trust. The Trust also provides excellent subject-level support, CPD and Leadership CPD through several programmes externally and within the Trust.
