Long Road is a thriving, successful post 16 Sixth Form College with 2,400 students on roll, in post-16 studies. Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and the Norfolk Suffolk coast, the college is set next to the Biomedical Campus in its own attractive grounds in the beautiful, thriving and expanding Bio/Technical city of Cambridge.  Long Road provides a high quality education in a structured but friendly and open environment.  The core objective of Long Road Sixth Form College is to maintain our position as a high-achieving and inclusive sixth form college which inspires, helps and motivates our students to be the best that they can be. We offer professional training for our Teachers and for our professional Support Staff, along with courses to enhance an individual's career, further education and training possibilities. The College employs over 220 staff, of whom around 150 are teachers. Many are examiners and moderators, others have research or business experience and some write text books and teaching materials.  All our staff share a passion for teaching and learning and are encouraged to support each other and to recognise each other’s strengths.
