We are looking to recruit an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful staff team at Westbury House School. Starting in January 2023 this is a great opportunity for you to join us and work within our excellent school and nursery. Focusing on working with our pre-school age pupils you will play a key role with our youngest pupils.  

We welcome applications from those with appropriate independent or maintained sector teaching assistant experience, including secondary schools. This incredibly varied and interesting role requires you to have the ability to work with Pre-school aged children as well as being able to communicate effectively with and provide support to staff, pupils and parents.

Westbury House Preparatory School and Nursery has a strong family atmosphere and prepares pupils exceptionally well for schools of their choice at age 11+. The site is a small, friendly preparatory school which also includes a thriving nursery that educates boys and girls aged 2 years to 11 years old. It together holds places for up to 104 children. Westbury House Preparatory School and Nursery has a unique and charming atmosphere, seldom found in schools today. The well-equipped playground provides ample space for outdoor learning and play.

As a teaching assistant you should be passionate about children and be their learning, this support role at Westbury House focuses on pupil development and the continued excellence of our staff, you will be working within the school and nursery so flexibility is essential. The school and its nursery deliver excellent standards in pastoral care, spiritual and emotional development, good learning and results for its pupils.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate teaching assistant to join our school. The role is a full time, 40 hours per week and will be all year round due to the nature of supporting in both the school and nursery.

·        Support our pupils both in and out of lessons.

·        Assist our pupils on either a one to one basis or in small groups within the classroom environment.

·        Assist with, plan and preparing for lessons with our teacher in line with the schools curriculum.

·        Maintain standards within lessons and support pupils of all ability.

·        Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety.
