Due to one of our experienced Teaching Assistants leaving us we are seeking to recruit another exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated SEND department at Oasis Arena, South Norwood. Join our passionate team at the Academy, inspire our dedicated students and make your mark on our community.

The Role

This is a full time (37 hour) a week position, working term time only i.e., 39 weeks of the year. The salary scale is SCP 4-6 Outer London (£24,408 - £25,212 pro rata) + pension scheme 

We are looking for the successful candidate to start ASAP.

We are seeking a caring, child cantered individual to support and nurture our children to learn effectively both inside and outside of the classroom. 

The role entails supporting children, both individuals and small groups within the classroom, working alongside the classroom teachers and their plans to support children as they learn through the curriculum. In addition, our teaching assistants work with students in small groups, for example to develop and support literacy, reading of various therapies (for example Lego Therapy). We will provide training for this.

We are very fortunate to have the Matrix provision, a small unit for children with Autism, who spend a significant amount of time in lessons learning, but are also supported within the Matrix provision with autism specific therapies
