This is an exciting opportunity to join the Admissions Team at the Royal Grammar School, Guildford working part-time (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) during term time.

As our Admissions Assistant you will be involved in every aspect of the journey of each prospective family: from initial enquiries, to tours and Open events, to entrance examinations and interviews, to offers and contracts, to New Student Reception events, all the way through to each student’s arrival at the RGS on their first day in September.

Joining a supportive and hard-working team, you will take pride in your achievements. Responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining a rapport with prospective families, ensuring that the School is presented at its best and that the admission journey experience is a positive one;
  • Assisting with the preparation and running of assessment days, interviews, taster and induction events;
  • Processing the online registrations of candidates for entry to the School, including the cross-checking payment of registration fees and admission deposits,
  • Communicating with prospective parents and feeder schools regarding entrance examinations, follow-up interviews and scholarship invitations;
  • Providing day-to-day support for admissions and marketing activities.


While Admissions experience is highly desirable, strong communication skills coupled with a high degree of accuracy within your work is essential.

Located in the historic town of Guildford, the Royal Grammar School, dating back to 1509, is a leading independent day school for boys aged 11 – 18.
