About the role

To assist the Head in developing the school as a high-quality specialist provision for pupils with ASD and SEMH.

To support the Head in leading and managing the school to the highest professional standards.

To uphold the ethos, aims and values of the school, its policies, and codes of practice at all times.

To assist in managing the school in the absence of the Head and or Deputy Head.

Main Duties

With the Head of school :

  • Ensure that the vision for the school is clearly articulated, shared, understood, and acted upon by all and demonstrate the vision, values, and standards in everyday practice.
  • Motivate and work with others to create a shared culture and a positive climate.
  • Ensure creativity, innovation, and the use of appropriate technologies to achieve excellence.
  • Initiate, develop and manage major projects to a successful conclusion.

The School is in an exciting phase of growth and development. With not just one, but two school sites! Resulting in a far wider offer of educational places, and a wealth of opportunities for young people with SEN (i.e., Learning difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PDA, Attachment Disorder, and young people who have experienced previous trauma).
