An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Selby High School as Attendance Officer. We are looking for somebody with excellent organisational skills, a resilient, solution-focused attitude and the commitment and energy to continue our drive for outstanding attendance for all our students. The successful candidate will have a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work, and will be keen to work alongside other colleagues, to build strong relationships with students, parents and carers to establish excellent attendance routines. The role involves the daily monitoring and recording of attendance, but also gives the successful candidate the chance to work with senior leaders and the pastoral team, to support those students whose attendance is not yet where it needs to be and make a genuine difference to young people’s lives.
The successful candidate will join an experienced and friendly team of support staff who make an invaluable contribution to the running of the school. We offer extensive training opportunities for our support staff, and as we encourage our team to develop their skills and talents, and play a key role in supporting colleagues, there are opportunities for promotion and career development within the team.
