Job overview

Term Time Only (39 weeks)

The Fulham Cross Academy Trust is a small multi academy trust (MAT) consisting of Fulham Cross academy, an 11-16 converter academy with 6th form and Fulham Cross Girls’ School 11-16. Both schools are rated by Ofsted as good.

The Trust is passionate about both the academic achievement of its students and their growth as adult citizens and individuals. Drawn from the local inner-city community the school roll comprises a significant number of students eligible for Free Schools Meals and those for whom English is not their first language. The Trust has a highly inclusive focus, a strong ethos of celebrating diversity and a strong pastoral system.

Our current Careers Coordinator is retiring at the end of June 2023. Their departure offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is educated to degree level and ideally has a post graduate qualification in careers guidance, or a willingness to study for a qualification on the job.

As Careers Coordinator you will work individually with students across the Trust, as well as project planning and implementing events that will support all of our students. There will be opportunities to work directly with children in a teaching capacity.

This position provides the opportunity to have a direct impact on helping our students realise their full potential, ambitions for the future and guiding them to the most appropriate career sectors for them.

We are looking for someone to strategically plan and implement the highest quality careers provision across the Trust. You will work closely with all staff to develop a programme that informs the curriculum, delivers one off events and provides 1-2-1 careers advice to students.

Our students make the Trust special. They are enthusiastic, talented and motivated to do well. We want the best for them and are looking to appoint a colleague who will continue to add significant value to the Trust.

Application packs are available via email: diane.lawson@fulhamcross.net or on the school websites www.fulhamcrossacademy.co.uk and www.fulhamcross.net

Closing date: 9.00am on Monday 20th February 2023.

Interview date: w/c 20th February 2023.

Please note we will be reviewing applications as and when they are received. We reserve the right to appoint at any time within the process.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to show they share tis commitment; and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate will be requested for the successful candidate in accordance with the relevant legislation.
