GHARS International School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. Are you prepared to ignite a fervor for digital technology in our students, guiding them towards mastery in Computer Science for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4?

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons tailored to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, aligning with our curriculum standards and national guidelines.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to explore and excel in the realm of Computer Science.
  • Utilize varied teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles, fostering active participation and critical thinking.
  • Incorporate real-world applications and projects into the curriculum to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of Computer Science's relevance.
  • Assess student progress through regular formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support continuous growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share insights, create interdisciplinary projects, and enhance the Computer Science curriculum.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about student progress and building strong home-school partnerships.


Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification, along with a degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate expertise in teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 levels, with a deep understanding of curriculum frameworks and assessment criteria.
  • Possess proficiency in contemporary ICT trends, tools, and technologies, covering areas such as programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and multimedia applications.
  • Show enthusiasm for nurturing students' digital skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated on emerging ICT education trends and best practices.
  • Desirable: Experience with ICT-related extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, or digital storytelling initiatives.
