Job overview
Joining us as Creative/Media Instructor, you will be responsible for training and technical support requirements within the Computing and Creative industries area. Whilst ensuring all workshop facilities and associated maintenance are effectively maintained, you will undertake training sessions and workshops to support the quality of services.
Providing guidance around various curriculum specific projects and activities, you will work flexibly across the area and undertake any necessary duties related to administration, and documentation to support the quality of the provision. Supervising, supporting and training learners in workshop/classroom activities, you will lead curriculum specific demonstrations and ensure suitability/availability of equipment and materials. You will also assist the curriculum team with curriculum specific assessment decisions of learner work and have a good understanding of and work closely with the curriculum teams to fully explore ICT developments within the Creative Industries.
If you hold a Level 4 qualification in a relevant Creative subject and have experience of working in a technical, creative or commercial environment, then we would love to hear from you. With excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, you will be able to work effectively as part of a team and be flexible and respond to change in demands for service and new developments.
With excellent working knowledge of creative software packages across both Apple Mac and PC including; Adobe Flash, Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Cubase and Logic, you will be able to prioritise, meet deadlines and work in a pressured environment and have experience of high quality delivery within an Art, Design, Media or Music environment.
This post will be based at Carshalton College.
