Boston St Mary’s RC Primary Academy is looking for a Deputy Head Teacher to join our fantastic, hardworking team who put children and Catholic Values at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic leader who is determined to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their potential. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Boston St Mary’s senior leadership team. 

The successful candidate will be required to:

Under the direction of the Headteacher:

  • Support the Headteacher in the day-to-day management of the school
  • Support the Headteacher with the Catholic ethos 
  • Communicate the school’s vision compellingly and support the Headteacher’s strategic leadership
  • Lead by example, focusing on providing excellent education for all pupils
  • Lead on particular whole-school strategies and policy areas including the curriculum and assessment
  • Build positive relationships with members of the school community
  • Keep up to date with developments in education
  • Seek training and continuing professional development to meet their own needs.
  • Have 0.6fte teaching responsibility in Key Stage 1

We are seeking for a Deputy Headteacher who:

  • Is flexible and adaptable.
  • Is able to challenge and inspire children and staff by having high expectations.
  • Is passionate about working with children of all ages and abilities, including some of our most vulnerable pupils.
  • Is a consistently high performing teacher, with a passion for teaching and learning who is relentless in their commitment to putting children first.
  • Wants to continue to learn and develop their own practice.
  • Is flexible and willing to respond to new challenges
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and is a true team player 
  • Is a creative thinker with a sense of humour!

As this is an appointment to a reserved post, the successful candidate is required to be a practicing Catholic, and to provide a faith reference from a Parish Priest.
