Early Years Teacher

Located in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands, our small, friendly school invites applicants for an Early Years Teacher.

Providenciales Primary & Middle School is an independent community school in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Our Primary School has operated on Providenciales for over 30 years, with our Middle School opening six years ago. Our vision for education stems from an ambition for all students to experience a truly hands on and creative approach to learning. We aim for students to drive their own learning by providing opportunities for student choice, exploration and investigation. Crucially, this begins with out Early Years programme.

Working from the updated Development Matters guidance, we offer an adapted UK curriculum that is reflective of our setting in both the Turks & Caicos Islands and the world. Learning is grouped into vibrant topics that aim to connect skills and understanding from across the Early Years and Foundation Stage Framework.

Required from September 2024, we are seeking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to work in our Early Years programme. Although we are flexible in which age group we are seeking to fill, we are particularly interested in recruiting either:

• an experienced and passionate Pre-School (turning 3) teacher to enhance our warm and welcoming introduction to school through the delivery of a rich, topic-based curriculum.
• an outstanding Early Years Leader who can contribute to the ongoing progress of our early years provision through the development of home-school communication and policies.

You will need to:

• be an excellent and motivated classroom practitioner, focused on engaging and inspiring a love of learning;
• commit to working as a team member as part of our all-through provision that covers Early Years to Key Stage 3;
• hold QTS/EYTS, or equivalent, and have a minimum of two years’ experience within the Early Years sector;
• be an effective communicator with staff and parents;
• be a resourceful and innovative practitioner, able to tailor classroom experiences to the needs of your pupils.
