One Year Contract in the first instance
Term time plus 10 days across holidays
Closing date: Noon, Monday 20 February 2023

All schools in Harrow have a long and proud history of working together to ensure young people feel happy, safe and achieve strong academic outcomes. These posts are an exciting initiative funded for one year in the first instance by the London Borough of Harrow and local schools.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work with children and families in High Schools and Primary Schools to prevent a crisis arising. These roles will work together but one based in a local primary school (Norbury School) and one in a local secondary school (Hatch End High School) and one based at Harrow School including The Helix Pupil Referral Unit. You will build positive relationships, mutual understanding and provide support to children and families who are at risk from being excluded from mainstream education and who need the extra support to remain in this provision. Your work will involve providing support, advice and guidance to help children and families address issues which affect their ability to engage within the school setting.
The post holders will report to the Headteacher of a base school and be accountable for their work across all schools via regular meetings with relevant staff including the local authority where applicable.
The roles are for 36 hours per week with a need to be flexible around meetings in the early morning and evening and holidays. There would be an expectation that the key workers would be in their base school unless they were on a home or school visit.
