Job overview

We are looking for three Specialist Educator and Assessor’s who will be expected to manage a caseload of approximately 40 apprenticeship candidates, who may be based at various employers and locations within the UK.

Candidates will be supported through 1:1 meetings, approximately every four weeks, and quarterly meetings involving their employer, to complete a portfolio outlining their workplace experience against a series of apprenticeship criteria for subject knowledge, workplace skills and professional behaviours. Your role is to support each candidate in identifying and recording that experience. Full training on this will be provided.

You will also prepare your candidates for their End-Point Assessment once their portfolio is complete; again, full training and support will be provided.

The majority of 1:1 and three-way meetings will take place on employer premises; candidates will be grouped to minimise travel, however, you will need a valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

If substantial distances to visit candidates are involved, accommodation will be provided and travel expenses to and from the site will be paid.

You will be required to have at least one of the following qualifications/ experience:

  • An electrical engineering degree and extensive professional experience in power generation, networks, distribution or high current / high voltage applications, or
  • An electrical engineering HNC or HND and extensive professional experience in power generation, distribution or high current / high voltage applications, with some supervisory experience, or
  • An extensive professional experience in power generation, distribution or high current / high voltage applications, with a extensive supervisory experience.
