English is a well loved subject within the school and students speak highly of the quality of teaching they receive. The department is one of innovation and places a high value on ensuring our students are equally challenged and supported with well thought out and researched schemes of learning. We currently follow the Edexcel specification at GCSE and A Level and the journey through KS3 allows students to master the skills required to excel at GCSE.  

Whitefield is a rapidly improving school. Our examination results continue to rise year on year. But we still have ambitious plans for the future. The successful candidate will have access to Continuous Professional Development through our comprehensive internal and external CPD programme.
