The Candidate

Following the departure of the current post holder, we are looking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated teacher or instructor who can build on the excellent work already achieved. The successful candidate will be able to instruct Food Technology and develop their ability to instruct to GCSE level. Above all, our next Food Technology teacher or instructor will have a love for their subject demonstrated by engaging and dynamic lessons that inspire our students. Our students are well motivated, keen to learn and characterful. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate innovative previous experience and very importantly, great commitment and enthusiasm.

The Technology Department

The Technology Department includes Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, Vehicle Technology and Food Technology. Technology is a popular subject both at Key Stage 3 and GCSE, with demand exceeding capacity. The department is well resourced with two workshops (one housing a laser cutter and a 3D printer), one textiles room, a garage and a designated Food room. A full time technician ably assists in the preparation for Food Technology lessons and supports students with SEND.
