The French Department is part of a thriving Modern Languages Department with almost all pupils studying a Modern Language to GCSE and a number continuing at A level. We are seeking a part-time French Language Assistant to support our pupils in developing their skills and confidence in speaking. This will primarily be through dedicated, one-to-one lessons or small-group sessions to support our classroom teachers, totalling approximately 12 hours per week.

We are ideally looking for a native level French-speaker with a strong knowledge of culture and grammar, who can confidently conduct small-group and individual French conversation lessons, and use authentic and up-to-date resources as a stimulus for discussion. You will work with pupils in Year 9 through to Year 13 and will be well supported by an experienced and collaborative departmental team.

The Royal Masonic School for Girls is an independent school located on a 316-acre site in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Providing places to both boarding and day pupils, the school is an all-through institution educating pupils aged 2-18. 

Founded in 1789, the school was originally intended for use by the children of Freemasons. It is now non-denominational and has no restrictions on attendance. As an academically selective institution, the school require potential applicants to undergo formal or informal assessment before a place is offered.
