Metropolitan International School in Viernheim seeks a dedicated professional to join our team as a German Teacher (m/f/d), available for immediate full-time or part-time employment (80-100%).

We have grown into a flourishing community of around 500 students, aged from 3 months to pre-university, representing a diverse range of nationalities.

We follow the Hessen curriculum, augmented with the Cambridge IGCSE Programme. Our students continue into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for our Sixth Form students, We offer exciting opportunities for professional development and growth across our network of schools.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable German Teacher to enrich our language program. This role involves teaching students across various age groups and proficiency levels, enhancing their language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing within an internationally recognized curriculum.

Responsibilities include planning, preparing, and delivering effective curricula and teaching materials, customizing lessons to individual needs and learning styles, conducting assessments, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in German or related fields and have a solid understanding of modern teaching methods and technologies in language instruction. Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and support students are crucial, along with strong communication skills in German and ideally other languages. Experience with students aged 10 to 16 and the confidence to interact with a multicultural and multiprofessional team are also essential.
