Chemistry is one of our most popular Sixth Form subjects, and girls regularly go on to achieve outstanding results at both GCSE and A level. The department has a proven track records of girls going on to study Sciences, medicine, engineering and mathematics at Universities around the world.
The Chemistry Department at Mayfield is dynamic, stimulating and high achieving. Candidates should be keen to encourage creativity, helping every girl to become confident and effective learners in Science, and will be able to make their own mark on teaching and learning through the School. This is a thriving, well-resourced Department, based in a custom built Science Block and supported by a team of well-qualified technicians.
Mayfield is a leading Catholic Independent boarding and day School for girls aged 11-18 situated in the beautiful East Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London and 40 minutes from Gatwick.
