Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive, situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014. Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn, with 54% of students achieving a Grade 5+ in English and Maths, 80% a Grade 4+ and a Progress 8 score of +0.17. Arthur Mellows Village College is part of the Four Cs Multi-Academy Trust, which comprises one other secondary school and 4 primary schools, all located in the Peterborough area.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational Head of College, with proven leadership skills either currently at Headteacher or highly experienced Deputy Headteacher level, and able to demonstrate a proven record of success and commitment to raising students’ achievements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and implement effective strategies, raise standards and continue to improve student attainment and progress. Essential attributes include good judgement, outstanding work ethic, trust, loyalty, high-quality traits of leadership and a sense of humour. Candidates should have a clear vision for the provision of high-quality education and maintaining an outstanding environment for all young people.

  • Over 20% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 7 or above.

  • KS5 vocational students achieved over 65% at Distinction*/Distinction
