Head of Department – English

We wish to appoint an outstanding, professional and well-qualified teacher to head up our English Department, which delivers GCSE English to our 16 - 19 year old learners. You will be a highly respected teaching practitioner who has already begun to demonstrate effective leadership characteristics. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the enthusiasm, and commitment to build on the growth and success that the English Department has enjoyed over the past few years. 

The Head of English role will ensure that students have a stimulating and enjoyable learning experience to enable them to achieve their very best. You will have sound subject knowledge and excellent organisational and communication skills along with the ability to build up positive relationships with colleagues and students. You will maintain a relentless focus on strategies to sustain the highest quality of teaching and learning to achieve outstanding outcomes for your students.
