Position Information 

Woolooware High School (student enrolment being 850) is a high performing, academic, co-educational and proudly comprehensive public school located in the Sutherland Shire. Our expert teaching staff work collaboratively to build opportunities for all students to achieve their personal best, in all aspects of school life. Woolooware High School actively leads social justice initiatives in our community. Specific Selection Criteria 
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
1. Demonstrated capacity and expertise in applying policy to build strong, productive, trusting and inclusive relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies and the wider community to deliver effective evidence-based programs, that respond effectively to differentiated student support needs.
2. Evidence as a highly visible, approachable and collaborative leader with a demonstrated capacity to building capabilities of all staff to improve student wellbeing outcomes by offering purposeful, systematic, sustainable and differentiated support to create a strong sense of belonging in our school community.
3. Demonstrated strength in initiating, nurturing and modelling leadership of whole school wellbeing, with strong interpersonal, communication and administrative skills that align resources, while managing both proactive initiatives and reactive complex case management.
4. Proven success in leading the analysis and interpretation of a range of data to inform executive team evaluations, while formulating and initiating wellbeing programs that enable students to connect, thrive and succeed at school and beyond.
  
General Selection Criteria 
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
 
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
