Highfurlong School offers coeducational 2-19 provision for approximately 70 children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. Benefiting from a brand new, state of the art, purpose built facility the school is well known for its commitment to achieving high standards and providing a caring environment where all our pupils achieve success.

Highfurlong School is situated on the very edge of Blackpool with a fabulous view of the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The children travel from a wide area including the rural area of Fylde and Wyre with its picturesque villages and including the coastal towns of St Annes and Lytham.
We are looking for:
An experienced Headteacher, Deputy, Assistant Headteacher or SENDCo who will motivate and support staff and pupils to be their best.
An approachable person with a commitment to young people and their families with effective communication skills in order to promote our vision statement within and beyond the school.
An inspiring and passionate leader who appreciates what has already been achieved and is committed to continuing to drive forward our outstanding school.
Our new leader will be a warm, strategic thinker with expertise and creativity to support staff and students alike.
Our new headteacher will demonstrate a commitment to full inclusion for all children and young people with an understanding of the particular challenges they face in order to support them to be happy and to be the best they can be.

Highfurlong School is a four times Outstanding special school academy in Blackpool, providing education for pupils aged 2-19 years with a wide range of special educational needs. Our state of the art facilities provide education to nursery, primary, secondary and post 16 children and young people.
