Your Purpose:

To support Curriculum Leads and Lead Teachers with the planning, preparation and assessment of an innovative and flexible curriculum. Be able to adapt the curriculum for our children and young people who have complex needs, who may learn in a community setting or at home. To support learners to prepare for adulthood through the planning and implementation of a bespoke curriculum linked to their individual EHCP and the wider curriculum.

Help our children and young people feel confident enough to begin their transition from community and home-based sessions to a hub and/or school setting to support them return to an educational setting.

To play an active part in the developments of the school by supporting curriculum and development strand leads.

Advocate on behalf of the young people and their families in your care.

To use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people.

Be able to travel between sites within the specified locality to support and engage with young people. This role is more a of community based HLTA role and a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for transporting them to various locations.

To drive forward improvement strands in a positive way. Encourage learner involvement in the decision making and the management of their programmes to support and maintain high learner engagement levels. A role model for our learners.

The impact you will have on our learners will allow them to transition from a community and/or home-based setting to an educational setting which will help their social skills and empower them for the future by supporting them gain the skills the need.

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary: £21,600

Hours: Maximum of 37.5 hours per week

Weeks: 39 Working Weeks – Permanent, full-time

Location: East Midlands - Mansfield x 1, Nottingham City x 1, Ilkeston x 1, Leicestershire x 1
