Finham Park School is the Lead School in the recently established Finham Park Multi Academy Trust. Primary and secondary schools in Finham Park MAT set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all. Finham Park School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2015, for the second time. It is a Specialist College in Mathematics & Computing, a National Support School, and Leading Edge School. It is highly over-subscribed with a Sixth Form of over 300 students. We have recently become a “World Class” school – a place where all our students develop a love of “learning for life”.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a graduate to each of the three core subjects. The successful candidate will have determination and a passion for education and will work with selected pupils on targeted interventions to help them reach their full potential. Key qualities that will enable post holders to be successful are the ability to motivate and encourage children to learn, excellent communication skills, able to deal with behavioural issues and to monitor progress of pupils.
The Science department at Finham Park school is a lively and supportive team of subject specialists, dedicated to helping all of our students reach their potential. We have a great balance of age and experience and a proven track record of excellent exam results both at GCSE and A level. Our students should, amongst other things, be equipped to question, and engage in debate on, the evidence used in decision-making. We attempt to explain the world in which we live and promote a love of learning through theory and practical work ensuring our students can communicate effectively and of course achieve exam success. The successful candidate will be a welcome and valuable addition to our team.
