We're in search of an exceptional Lead Practitioner for our Sixth Form, with outstanding teaching skills and a genuine passion for motivating both students and colleagues. This role presents an exciting chance for a driven individual to embrace broader leadership duties within our extended leadership team, advancing our commitment to educational excellence. Strong leadership capabilities and a dedication to continuous professional growth are essential for this role. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in further developing academic brilliance and cultivating a supportive learning atmosphere across the Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Improving teaching and learning standards in the Sixth Form, while also supporting curriculum development. 
  • Researching and evaluating innovative curricular practices, drawing on research outcomes and external evidence to inform own practice and that of colleagues teaching KS5 and beyond.
  • Auditing subject practices and policies and advising Curriculum Teams on addressing issues within each subject area.
  • Setting high teaching standards, providing training and support to teachers
  • Analysing data to inform strategies, and contributing to school improvement plans
  • Utilising statistical data and other information to evaluate pupils’ progress and attainment, judging the effectiveness of teaching and learning at KS5
