Newbury Park Primary School is seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher and Lead Practitioner to model exemplary classroom practice, lead a subject and a phase, and play a key role in driving whole school improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, reflective practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning and ready to extend their impact beyond their own classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with senior and middle leaders to strengthen pedagogy, support colleagues, and contribute strategically to the continued development of the school.

The Role

As a Lead Practitioner, you will:

  • Model consistently high-quality teaching and learning to raise outcomes across the school

  • Lead a subject area and a phase, ensuring strong curriculum design, consistency and high standards

  • Coach, mentor and support teachers, including ECTs and trainees, through professional dialogue and modelling best practice

  • Contribute to school improvement priorities and work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is an exceptional classroom practitioner with a proven track record of impact

  • Has experience in leading a subject and supporting phase-level improvement

  • Has the credibility and interpersonal skills to influence practice and inspire others

  • Is committed to inclusion and securing strong outcomes for all pupils, including SEND, EAL, Pupil Premium and higher attainers

  • Is reflective, collaborative and driven by continuous improvement
