Chelmsford College is a successful and dynamic further education college that aspires to excellence in all it does. To improve upon our previous tutorial programme for learners, the College changed the tutorial model with a student outcome focus where the progress of each individual learner is the priority and the support is geared to ensuring that all elements of a learners programme are successful enabling his or her progression.
We are looking to recruit to the post of Learning Coach who will deliver the tutorial programme for all groups of learners in a high quality tutorial environment supported by the appropriate student support services. The Learning Coaches will support the learner from induction to progression, will work closely with curriculum teams to ensure the best experience for each learner and also work in the Assessment Centres.
Candidates should have well developed communication skills to be able to relate and empathise with students in need of support and to develop trusting and respectful relationships with them. Prior experience of working in an educational establishment is not essential but successful candidates should be aspiring to a career in education. Training will be provided for candidates to undertake the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

Chelmsford College is a further education college based in Essex. It is a non-denominational school.
The college was founded in 1962 and currently offers a variety of courses, both vocational and professional.
The college plays a role in The Football Academy programme in partnership with Colchester United and Maldon & Tiptree Football Club.
The enrichment programme also offers specific trips to support students’ learning such as New York and Milan for Art, Design and Media students. In addition to this, the college itself provides a wide range of events, guest speakers and sports activities.
