About the Department:


The Mathematics department at MCA has consistently demonstrated improvement year after year, achieving results above the national average. Our curriculum is designed to challenge and engage students, fostering a lifelong love for mathematics while delivering commendable academic results.


Collaborative planning ensures a balanced workload and promotes both teacher autonomy and consistency.


Our team consists of dedicated professionals committed to continuous professional development. You will be joining a department that embraces the latest pedagogical advancements, supported by a structured CPD program led by our Teacher Educator, an EEF Research School Evidence Lead in Education.

Manchester Communication Academy is a highly successful 11-16 comprehensive school in north Manchester. In 2023, the school was placed in the top 10 % of schools nationally based on key stage 4 outcomes and has consistently secured student progress outcomes that are significantly above the national average.
