We seek a well-qualified and dedicated MYP Coordinator.

Valid working status for Italy, or a UK or Irish Passport is required.

Applicants must agree to undergo child protection screening. This will include checks with previous employers as well as criminal records checks. 

Job Description:

  • Promoting the academic progress of MYP students as they pursue the IB Diploma, overseeing their pastoral care, management of a team of tutors, and leadership of the university applications process. 
  • Carry on a small teaching load
  • The MYP coordinator is supported in his/her role by the DP Team, comprising of the Principal, the Head of Departments, and the Homeroom Teachers. 


Student Well-Being Responsibilities

  • Lead the MYP Team 
  • Lead MYP assemblies 
  • Coordinate the rewards/sanctions, ensuring high standards of behaviour 
  • Coordinate MYP PSED programme 
  • Coordinate Parent Student Teacher Conferences
  • Coordinate Grade 5 into Grade 6 Transfer programme 
  • MYP Curriculum Documentation 
  • DMYPP Student Council
  • Coordinate Grade 6 Induction Programme 


Academic Responsibilities

  • Support the Admissions process and induction of students into grade 6
  • Support the Principal in monitoring and analysis of attainment and attitude to learning in middle school , including effective use of a range of assessment data 
  • Develop the academic performance of Middle School students, liaising with subject teachers and homeroom teachers 
  • Establish MYP Calendar deadlines and promoting the IB ethos 
  • The Management of the ManageBac platform 
  • Liaising with Head of G9 & 10 regarding entry into the Grade 9
  • Liaising with the principal to ensure an effective reporting system and schedule


Administration/Communications 

  • To lead provision of communication on MYP issues to parents, staff and students 
  • Formulation and review of the MYP Development Plan 
  • Coordinate MYP Events, including the Graduation Ceremony 
  • Effective resourcing of the MYP and management of the allocated budget 
  • Information about the MYP in the Newsletter and on the school website
