Part-time Teacher of Computing (approx. 0.3 FTE)

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Computing.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner or ECT who will teach Computing and sustain the achievements of our students at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available in due course for the right candidate).

The Computing resources of the school have been transformed over recent years with large investment and an excellent external ICT support provider is in place.

A detailed Scheme of Work is in place which covers all lessons at KS3 & KS4. GCSE Computing is a very popular subject. A level Computing will be a new addition to the department from September 2024.

The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of teaching well-motivated and intelligent pupils in this selective school, FIVE times judged OUTSTANDING by OFSTED, the most recent inspection being November 2022. The school is committed to the ideals of Catholic education and GCSE & A Level results are consistently excellent.

About St Michael's Catholic Grammar School

St Michael’s is a girls-only (before sixth form), selective grammar, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in North Finchley, London. It is a voluntary-aided state school that is part of the Archdiocese of Westminster. A smaller than average school, it will provide 920 places for secondary and sixth form students, when fully subscribed.

The school was established in 1908, became a Voluntary Aided Grammar School in 1958 and began to include boys in its sixth form in September 2009.
