Westbourne is a leading school in the Yorkshire region, and the only co-educational independent school in Sheffield offering a first class education to Sheffield girls and boys from the age of 4 to 16. 

Westbourne school prides itself on our musical achievements, we have a peripatetic team to teach our pupils different instruments and singing. Our pupils perform many concerts throughout the academic year, including a carol concert at a local church and the Cathedral, a gig night at the Leadmill, outdoor music for a summer’s evening and our annual prize giving at the Octagon which includes performances from our pupils. 

The School is at an exciting crossroads in its history, with a new Head, and a recently completed £3m estates development project, including a new hall, three classrooms, changing rooms, facilities and a play area.

Westbourne School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent school in South Yorkshire, serving students from the age of 4 -16. The all-through school, situated in Sheffield has approximately 350 students on record.

Westbourne School was founded in 1885 as a boys’ preparatory school. Girls joined In 1997, and a Senior School was opened in 2001.
