British Education Korea (BEK) - a member of of COBIS (Council of British International Schools) - is based in and around Seoul. Our campuses are all small and allow for each student to be treated as an individual.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Primary Teacher to become a Class Teacher in our Prep (KS2) Campus from August 2024.

Prep overview: Situated adjacent to our Secondary School, Prep is in the heart of Gangnam in Seoul, and is a highly respected and popular campus because students are happy and achieve excellent results. The curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of England and the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. With the opening of a new Early Years campus, Prep is currently transitioning to become a specialist Key Stage 2 Campus.

Essential knowledge, abilities and qualifications : The successful candidate will be fluent in English as a first language, have experience of teaching Key Stage 2 children and be a University graduate with a formal teaching qualification.

In addition, our ideal applicants will have the following qualities and experiences :

  • A wide knowledge of effective Teaching and Learning practices
  • A broad understanding of contemporary assessment methodology 
  • The ability to teach to a high standard including experience of teaching students who have English as a Second Language.
  • A desire to participate in the wider life of the school, contributing with enthusiasm to extracurricular clubs and activities on a weekly basis for example
  • Is committed to continuing personal and professional development 
  • Is a team player with a well-developed sense of humour!
  • Is hardworking with high expectations of self, staff and pupils
