William Hulme’s Grammar School is a highly successful all-through (3-18) school in South Manchester. It is extremely popular and oversubscribed, with an inclusive and diverse community.

The school and its leadership have done an excellent job of joining the state sector while retaining the best traditions developed through the school’s long history. It has expanded significantly over recent years with a new primary school building and a new sixth form centre. With the retirement of the current Principal at the end of this academic year, we are looking for a new leader to take it into its next stage of development.

We believe that William Hulme’s Grammar School can become a truly exceptional school. We want it to be one of the country’s most admired schools – for depth of scholarship, for sporting, musical and extra-curricular success and for preparing young people for extraordinary success in life.
