The Norwood School wishes to appoint a School Business Manager. The Norwood School is a thriving local authority 11-19 community school with a pupil roll of over 1,000, specialising in the Performing and Visual Arts. The School Business Manager is responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration.
This is a varied and exciting role, candidates must be enthusiastic, organised, approachable and hard working. They will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will:
• have experience working in an educational environment with a strong knowledge of financial management in this setting.
• experience of Human Resources in an educational setting.
• have the vision and experience to utilise resources to ensure both community usage and provide opportunities from income generation for our children and staff.
• experience of working effectively with staff, parents, governors and trustees.
• be friendly and approachable with a welcoming and professional manner.
• be able to show discretion and respect confidentiality at all times.
• be positive in their approach at all times.
