As a Science Teacher, you will demonstrate effective planning, teaching, and organization while upholding high standards of achievement and behaviour in lessons.

Develop and review the school's Science curriculum and related schemes of work to ensure excellence in science education. Follow school assessment, recording, and reporting procedures to monitor student progress effectively. Share best practices within and beyond the Science department to enhance teaching quality. Utilise student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities. Communicate effectively the school's narrative and be an ambassador for our school at all times. Align with the Artemis Promise and commit to leaving a better world for our children.

Demonstrate subject knowledge aligned with the English National Curriculum. Plan work that is well matched to a full range of learners, supporting and challenging all students appropriately. Engage students in activities that encourage exploration, enquiry, critical thinking, and imagination. Maintain highly effective time management and pacing to ensure purposeful lesson progression. Utilize resources effectively, including collaboration with Teaching Assistants, to enhance learning outcomes. Deliver homework following the agreed home learning policy and guidelines. Maintain excellent quality displays in the classroom and public spaces related to student learning. Promote cultural entitlement through a variety of enrichment activities during and after the school day. Commit to the school's Co-curricular Activities (CCA) program.

Ensure all children make the best possible progress in their learning and can demonstrate, apply, and transfer learning in relevant contexts. Cultivate positive attitudes, enthusiasm, and high levels of motivation among all students throughout lessons. Encourage independent and collaborative work while fostering initiative among students. Conduct assessments that allow students to confidently discuss their achievements in relation to their learning and outcomes.
