We are seeking a passionate, energetic and ambitious Science Technician to join our team. Since the educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 300 new students and over 40 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 800 learners across Years 7-13.

As we now continue to increase the number of students at Wadham School we are seeking more colleagues to become part of our journey to help grow capacity in delivering exceptional teaching and learning and pastoral care.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with our dedicated, friendly team of 6 Science teachers and an experienced Science Technician
  • Be passionate about Science and the opportunities it presents to students to engage with learning
  • Work to ensure positive outcomes for students and to provide a healthy and nurturing environment for teaching and learning of Science

You are likely to be someone who:

  • Can demonstrate a background in a Science field
  • Would like to be involved with the students’ learning in the classroom
  • Enjoys being part of a team and wants to help develop Science education within the Science team
  • Enjoys working with young people and engages with the development on new curriculum ideas

About Wadham School

Wadham School is a mixed comprehensive, Church of England secondary school in the town of Crewkerne in South Somerset. It is a voluntary controlled state school under the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

In September 2022 the school increased in size with the addition of pupils from Years 7 and 8 as part of the local area reform. The school is now a thriving 11-18 secondary school with a Sixth Form.
