An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking English Teacher 2i/c to join our thriving school and play a pivotal role in leading & shaping the school’s KS3 English curriculum and securing outstanding outcomes for all.  The successful candidate will support the head of Department in the intent and implementation of the English curriculum across all secondary Key stages.  It is a friendly and supportive school community with a focus on high expectations of all and helping young people to thrive through access to education. Staff development and wellbeing is a priority as we develop the Academy and its provision.


We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner at Key stages 3 and 4.
  • Support the Head of Department in developing and leading an exciting English curriculum which will result in the highest level of pupil progress and attainment.
  • Carry out quality assurance of English teaching and learning including marking, feedback and assessment at KS3.
  • Possess exceptional subject knowledge of the curriculum, assessment and pedagogical developments relating to English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Have exceptional subject knowledge and teach at all three key stages.
  • Have a track record in securing top grades at GCSE.
  • Be expected to play a full part in the extra – curricular activities of this forward-thinking school.
